When the NYTimes Sports Editor, Jason Stallman, needed to report a unique story, he decided to use the language of comics and graphic novels to tell the tale. Reporter Mary Pilon and illustrator Attila Futaki have delivered a gripping story that’s a little different from what you usually find in the Times. But Tomato Can Blues is very welcome and very engaging.
